Everything you need — from installing the plugin to generating a 50-article batch across 20 WordPress sites.

Quick start (5 minutes)

MultiPub Pro is a SaaS that generates and publishes AI articles to your WordPress sites in bulk. Setup is six steps.

Sign up on app.multipub.pro/signup. Free tier gives you 5 credits to try everything.

Create a Network in the panel (Dashboard → + Create Network). A network groups sites and defines their shared categories + tag pool — sites can't exist outside a network.

Download the WordPress plugin. ⬇ multipub-connector.zip — upload it in WP Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate. Repeat on each WP site.

Copy the API key from Settings → MultiPub in your WordPress admin (auto-generated on activation).

Register the site in the panel (Dashboard → + Register Site) by picking the network, pasting the site URL and the API key.

Wizard vs Pro generator

MultiPub ships two ways to start a generation:

  • AI Wizard — a 3-step guided flow that asks "what site, what topics, how long" and uses sensible defaults for everything else. Best for first-timers, single articles, or quick top-ups.
  • AI Generator (the main tool) — full control: writing style, link profile, image model, schedule, drafts, syndication, per-topic overrides. Best for batches and recurring runs.

Both use the same backend pipeline and produce identical articles. The Wizard just hides the knobs. You can switch from Wizard to Generator at any time — the rest of this guide assumes the Generator.

1. Sign up

Go to app.multipub.pro/signup. No credit card required. You'll get:

  • 5 credits — enough for ~5 articles with the default model
  • 1 WordPress site connection
  • 1 network
  • DeepSeek AI (platform key — included)
  • 55+ supported languages

Verify your email (click the link in the welcome message). After verification you're in.

2. Create a network

Before you can add any WordPress site, you need a Network. A network is a logical group of sites that share:

  • Categories — WordPress categories your articles will be published under (e.g. "Reviews", "Guides")
  • Tags pool — a list of tags the generator randomly samples from per article, making each post feel natural
  • Color label — visual marker to quickly tell networks apart in the UI

Enter a Name (e.g. "Travel blog network", "Tech reviews").

Add Categories — comma-separated list, e.g. Reviews, Guides, News. Each article picks 1–2 categories that best match its keyword (AI-guided). Don't want to think them up? Click ✨ AI suggest next to the field — we generate a niche-relevant starter set from the network name.

Add Tags pool — comma-separated, e.g. beginner, tutorial, tips, 2026, comparison, review. Each article gets 3 tags picked from this pool weighted by relevance to the article's topic.✨ AI suggest here too if you want a quick start.

Pick a color and save.
💡 One network per niche
Sites inside a network share categories/tags, so group them by topic. 10 tech-review sites in one network, 5 travel blogs in another. You can move a site between networks later if needed.
ℹ Network limits per plan
Free / Starter: 1 network. Standard: 5. Pro: 20. Pro Max: unlimited.

3. Install the WordPress plugin

The connector plugin is what lets the panel talk to your WordPress. It's a tiny single-file plugin, open-source, no external dependencies.

Download: multipub-connector.zip (always latest version)

In WordPress admin: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → Choose File → pick the ZIP → Install Now.

Click Activate Plugin after installation completes.
ℹ You need to do this on every WP site
One ZIP works for all sites. Install & activate it on each site you want to publish to.

4. Get the API key from the plugin

After activation, the plugin generates a 64-character random API key automatically. This key is the shared secret between your WP site and the MultiPub panel — it's used for HMAC request signing.

Go to Settings → MultiPub in your WP admin.

You'll see two fields: Panel URL (defaults to https://app.multipub.pro) and API Key. Leave Panel URL as-is unless you're self-hosting.

Click Copy next to the API Key — you'll paste it in the panel in the next step.
⚠ Keep the key secret
Anyone with this key + your site URL can publish content to your site. If leaked, click Regenerate API Key on the settings page — then update it in the panel.

5. Register the site in the panel

Now connect the WordPress site to the panel. You should already have a network from step 2 and an API key from step 4.

On Dashboard click + Register Site. A modal opens.

Pick the Network (the one you created in step 2).

Paste the Site URL (with https://) and the API Key you copied from the plugin.

Click Register Site. The panel sends a signed ping — if it works, status becomes Active.
⚠ If registration fails
You'll get a modal with the exact cause: wrong key, firewall blocking, plugin inactive, site unreachable, etc. Each cause has a specific fix — see Troubleshooting.

6. Generate your first article

Open AI Generator from the top nav.

Pick the Network (affects category/tag assignment).

Pick Target Sites. Each selected site gets one article per keyword.

Add Keywords / Topics. Three ways:
  • Type one per row, or paste a column from Excel — auto-splits into rows.
  • ✨ Generate ideas — AI suggests 10–15 topic ideas tailored to the selected sites' niche.
  • 📋 Bulk add — paste a long list with optional keyword | Custom Title format.
For rich control (custom title, per-topic categories/tags), click the expand button on any row.

Pick Article size (small / medium / large) and Language.

Configure optional sections: Intro hook, Key takeaways, FAQ, Tables, Internal linking, Images.

Publishing mode: Publish immediately, Random delay (spread), or Daily schedule (fixed time each day). You can also tick Save as drafts to send articles to WordPress as draft for review before they go live (Posts → Drafts → Approve / Discard / Edit in WP).

Click ✨ Generate with AI. A progress banner shows count of generated / published / failed.

Templates: save your config

Once you have a generator config you like (model, length, links, images, schedule), click 💾 Save as template at the top of AI Generator. Next time, one click in the template dropdown loads everything back — keywords cleared, the rest preserved.

Templates are per-user, you can have unlimited. Useful patterns:

  • "Daily news drip" — small articles, daily schedule, no images, fast model.
  • "Weekly long-form review" — large size, premium model, FLUX Pro images, draft mode.
  • "Affiliate spam-safe" — random delay 12–48h, random structure, money-link profile attached.

Scheduling & delays

Three publishing modes — availability depends on plan:

  • Publish now — articles go live as soon as they're generated. Available on every plan including Free.
  • Random delay — each article gets a random delay between your min and max (e.g. 30 min – 24 hrs). Looks natural across a network. Available on every plan.
  • Daily schedule — one article per day at your chosen time ± jitter. Long-term drip campaigns. Pro and up.
💡 Footprint reduction
Use Random delay with 60 min – 48 hr range + enable 🎲 Random structure in the generator. Each article will vary: some have FAQ, some have tables, some have key takeaways — looks like natural blog variety.
ℹ Drafts mode is independent
Any publishing mode can be combined with Save as drafts. The schedule then determines when the draft is created in WordPress (rather than when it goes live). You approve and publish from Posts → Drafts.

Drafts mode (review before publish)

Tick Save as drafts in AI Generator and every article goes to WordPress aspost_status = draft instead of publish. Posts page gets a newDrafts filter where you can:

  • Approve — flips the WP post to publish, status here becomes Published.
  • Discard — deletes the WP draft and the panel row in one go.
  • Edit in WP — opens the WP admin editor in a new tab; come back and Approve when ready.
  • Sync from WordPress — if you approved/deleted drafts in WP directly (not through the panel), this catches up our records.
💡 Good for high-stakes niches
YMYL topics (medical, financial, legal) almost always benefit from a human review pass. Use Drafts + a daily routine where you approve in batches.

Pause / resume / cancel a batch

A generation batch (everything from one click of ✨ Generate) is a single tracked run. While it's working you'll see a progress banner with three controls:

  • Pause — stops new articles from starting. Articles already in flight finish. Resumable later.
  • Resume — picks up where Pause left off. Already-done articles aren't re-generated.
  • Cancel — hard stop. Pending articles are released back to your reservation; nothing more is charged.

Closing the browser tab does NOT stop the batch — it runs server-side until done or paused. Reopening shows the same banner with current progress.

Posts page & sync from WordPress

Posts (top nav → Posts) lists every article we've generated for you, with filters:Live (published), Drafts, Queued (scheduled or pending), Failed.

The When column header is a 3-mode sort selector — click it:

  • When (auto) — best-fit per row: published / scheduled / created.
  • Newest first — by creation time. Surfaces fresh drafts that future-scheduled posts would otherwise hide.
  • Published — actual WP go-live time. Ignores queued and drafts.

The page also reconciles with WordPress automatically: if a scheduled post passed its publish time we silently confirm with WP and flip the row to Published. If you manually approved a draft in wp-admin or deleted a post there, the next page load picks up the change. There's also a manualSync button if you want to force-refresh.

Retry failed publishes

If publishing to WordPress fails (firewall, plugin glitch, WP down for maintenance), the article doesn't disappear — it lands on the Failed tab with the exact error reason next to it.

  • Retry on the row attempts to republish the same article without re-generating it (no extra credits).
  • Bulk retry at the top retries every failed row in one go.
  • Each row has a 60-second cooldown between attempts and a hard cap of 3 retries — after that the row is "permanently failed" and you'd need to reset it manually (we don't want runaway loops on a broken site).
  • HTML / MD buttons let you download the generated content even if it never reached WP — your work isn't lost.

Activity feed

The Activity page (sidebar) is a unified log across the last 180 days: publishes, draft creations, generation batches, credit grants, plan changes, password resets. Each event has time, type, what was affected, and a deep link.

Filter tabs:

  • All — everything.
  • Publishing — post events: published / scheduled / drafted / failed / retried.
  • Generations — per-batch summaries with credit usage and model.
  • Account — credits granted, plan changes, security events.

Events newer than your last visit are highlighted with a small dot and a "X new" pill in the title. Use Mark all read when you've reviewed them.

Billing → Usage breakdown

Billing → Usage breakdown tab shows where your credits actually went, period selectable (24h / 7d / 30d). Four sections:

  • This billing period — how many credits you've used vs your plan limit, both pools.
  • Recent errors — failed generations and whether you were charged. Distinct labels:
    • 0 · not charged — generation failed before any content was created.
    • charged · publish failed — content generated and credit spent, but publish to WP failed (you can still download HTML/MD or retry).
  • Where credits went — every charge, release and admin adjustment in the period, with site, model, and explicit status pill.
  • By the numbers — aggregates per model and per site (top 10).
ℹ Released vs charged
A release entry is unused reservation hold returned to your pool — never a refund of a real charge. Adjustments come from us (admin grants, period resets) and are explicitly tagged.

AI images explained

We use Runware (Flux models) for image generation. You can pick:

  • FLUX.1 Schnell / SD3 — free tier, fast, ~3s/image. Great for blog illustrations, not for readable text on images.
  • FLUX.1 Dev — mid quality, 1 credit/image.
  • FLUX 1.1 Pro / Ultra — premium (Pro plan required), 4 credits/image. Can render legible text.
💡 Avoid garbled text on cheap models
Keep the "Avoid text / watermarks" checkbox ON (default). Schnell can't render clean letterforms — the checkbox steers it to editorial-photo style instead of a promotional-banner look with scrambled typography.

Aspect ratios: 7 presets (16:9 is the usual featured-image shape). Styles: 10 presets (Cinematic, Cyberpunk, Watercolor, ...) or your freetext. Negative prompts: describe what to exclude ("blurry, distorted, people").

⚠ Image count — SEO matters
Average natural blog has 2–5 images per post. More than 6 looks spammy and can be a red flag for Google. We cap at 8 for a reason. Also, each inline image needs an H2 to sit under — if you set 8 images but the article has only 4 H2s, the last 4 slots are silently dropped (wasted credits).

Bulk link replacement

Swap one URL for another across every article on selected sites in seconds. Use case: affiliate program moved from A to B, need to update 500 articles.

Dashboard → Bulk Update Links (red button).

Enter old URL + new URL. Pick sites (or "All sites" checkbox).

Choose Scope: Only MultiPub articles (safe default — only posts we generated) or All posts (everything on the site, including manually-created pages).

Confirm. You'll see a modal with total posts updated + occurrences replaced.
⚠ URL match is case-sensitive
https://Example.com and https://example.com are different strings. Copy the exact URL from a published post to be sure.

Security plugin compatibility

If you have Wordfence, iThemes, WP Cerber, SecuPress, or any "Disable REST API" plugin active, they may block the MultiPub endpoint.

Good news: our plugin already filters the rest_authentication_errors hook to allow our namespace /mpp/v1/* through — so 80% of cases just work.

For the remaining 20%, the plugin's admin page shows specific instructions per detected security plugin:

  • Wordfence — Firewall → Allowlisted URLs: add /wp-json/mpp/v1/execute and /wp-json/mpp/v1/ping. Raise Rate Limit for authenticated API requests.
  • WP Cerber — Main Settings → Access Lists: allow UA MultiPub-Pro/*. Traffic Inspector → Whitelist path /wp-json/mpp/v1/.
  • iThemes / Solid Security — Settings → Advanced → Hide Backend: disable "Hide /wp-json/" if enabled.
  • SecuPress — Modules → Firewall → Block Bad URL Contents: allowlist /mpp/v1/.
  • Sucuri — Whitelist /wp-json/mpp/v1/*. If using Sucuri cloud WAF, do it there too.
  • Disable REST API — add /mpp/v1/* to Exceptions.

Troubleshooting connection errors

When site registration fails, the panel runs a diagnostic probe and returns a structured cause. Here's every code you might see and what it means:

hmac_mismatchAPI key doesn't match the plugin's stored key. Recopy from WP Admin → Settings → MultiPub. If it was regenerated there, update it in the panel.
timeoutSite takes > 15 sec to respond. Heavy plugins or cheap hosting. Try better host.
ssl_errorSelf-signed or expired certificate. Fix SSL (Let's Encrypt), or use http:// if it's dev-only.

Bring-your-own AI keys

On Pro and Pro Max plans, you can plug in your own DeepSeek / OpenAI / Anthropic / Runware API keys. BYO generations are unlimited — they don't count against your monthly credits. You pay the provider directly at their per-token cost.

Paste the key for each provider you want to use. Keys are encrypted in our DB — we can't read them after you save.

In AI Generator, the model selector will show all models (DeepSeek, GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, Claude Sonnet 4.6) as available. Pick any — it'll route through your key.
ℹ Premium models DO have a platform pool
GPT-4o, GPT-4.1 and Claude Sonnet have a separate premium credit pool on every paid plan (Starter 3 / Standard 15 / Pro 40 / Pro Max 80 per month) — you can use them on our keys without a BYO setup. Once the premium pool runs out, the model is locked unless you add your own key. BYO unlocks unlimited generations on top of either pool.
⚠ Claude Opus is BYO-only
Anthropic's Opus tier isn't in any platform pool — you need your own Anthropic API key. It's the most expensive model we route to and we don't subsidise it.

Credits, plans & billing

Single currency: credits. 1 credit ≈ 1 standard article up to 4000 words on DeepSeek with free images.

How charges add up per article:

  • Text 100–4000 words = 1 credit base
  • Text 4001–5500 words = 2 credits base
  • Premium model multiplier (applied to the text base):
    • DeepSeek = ×1 (default)
    • GPT-4o mini, GPT-4.1 mini = ×1
    • GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, Claude Sonnet = ×2 AND draws from your separate premium pool
    • Claude Opus = BYO-only (your key, no platform charge)
  • Image model: Schnell / SD3 = 0 credits. Dev = 1 credit/image. FLUX 1.1 Pro / Pro Ultra = 4 credits/image.
  • Starter plan + Large article size = +1 credit upcharge (Pro tiers absorb it)
  • BYO key generations = 0 platform credits — pay the vendor directly
ℹ Two pools, not one
Every paid plan has a main credit pool (DeepSeek + cheap models) AND a smaller premium pool (GPT-4o / GPT-4.1 / Claude). A premium generation pulls 1 from premium AND its multiplied amount from main. Both pools refresh on your billing cycle. Watch live usage on Billing → Usage breakdown.

ℹ Post retention
Older articles get auto-cleaned from the panel (your WordPress copies always stay). Free: 30 days. Starter: 180. Standard: 1 year. Pro: 2 years. Pro Max: forever. Cleanup never deletes posts on WP itself.

FAQ

Can I use my own WordPress hosting?

Yes. The plugin works on any self-hosted WP 6.2+. WP.com hosted blogs (not Business plan) don't allow custom plugins, so they're unsupported.

What data do you store?

Your email (for login), hashed password, encrypted BYO API keys, your sites' URLs and the plaintext API keys (we need them to sign requests — they're the shared secret with your plugin). Generated article text & metadata. No customer data from your WordPress sites.

Can I export my articles?

Articles are published on your WordPress — that's your source of truth, always exportable via standard WP export. The panel also shows a list of everything we've generated with links back to the WP posts. Each row also has HTML and MD download buttons — useful for failed publishes or off-WP archiving.

Do you touch my existing content?

Only via the explicit Bulk Link Update action you trigger yourself. Everything else is new-post creation.

What happens if I uninstall the plugin?

The site becomes unreachable from the panel (we can still see the record, but publishing fails). Uninstalling deletes the plugin's options (API key, panel URL). Articles already published stay intact.

Is this safe for SEO?

In our own GPTZero testing, articles typically score under 20% AI on non-English languages (often 0% on Portuguese / Spanish / Italian) and 10–40% on English. Other detectors (Originality.ai, Copyleaks) tend to be stricter on English and give different numbers — we can't speak for all of them. None of this is a guarantee: Google uses its own ranking signals, not GPTZero, and they evolve. Lower your network footprint by combining 🎲 Random structure with Random delay publishing.

How do I reset my password?

From the login page click Forgot password? — we email you a reset link valid for 1 hour. After resetting, all your existing sessions are invalidated and you'll be logged out everywhere.

Why does signup ask me to verify my email?

To stop bot signups burning through the platform's free DeepSeek credits. Click the link we email you within 24 hours; until then your account is read-only (can't generate). If the email didn't arrive: check spam, then use Resend verification on the panel.

Will my old articles be deleted?

The article on your WordPress is yours forever — we never touch it. The panel-side row (history, status, retry button) gets cleaned up after a plan-dependent retention window: Free 30 days, Starter 180, Standard 1 year, Pro 2 years, Pro Max forever.

How do I contact support?
