Refund Policy
We want you to feel confident trying MultiPub Pro. This page describes our refund rules clearly so there are no surprises. If your situation isn't covered, email support@multipub.pro — we're reasonable.
Test before you pay: the Free plan ships the full publishing pipeline on one WordPress site with 5 credits. We recommend running it through your real workflow before subscribing — that's the strongest "money-back" guarantee we can offer because you never spent money in the first place.
Summary (TL;DR)
- 14-day refund window on your first paid subscription, provided you have used no more than 20% of your monthly credit allowance. This is to protect against generate-then-refund abuse.
- Annual plans: prorated refund for unused months, minus 20% restocking fee.
- Monthly plans after 14 days: no refunds for the current period — cancel to stop future renewals.
- Consumed credits are non-refundable. The AI cost has already been paid to the underlying provider (DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, Runware).
- BYO key usage is paid directly by you to the AI vendor — we are not in that billing relationship and cannot refund those costs.
1. 14-day refund window (conditional)
For your first paid subscription on any plan, you can request a refund within 14 calendar days of the initial payment, provided your consumed credits do not exceed 20% of your plan's monthly allowance.
Why this condition exists:
- When you generate an article, the AI cost (DeepSeek / OpenAI / Anthropic / Runware) is paid to the provider immediately. That money is gone whether you stay subscribed or refund.
- An unconditional refund window invites "generate the full month of articles → ask for refund" abuse. We have to pay the AI cost regardless, so the refund would directly drain operating margin.
- The 20% threshold is generous: e.g. on the Starter plan (60 articles/month), you can generate up to 12 articles and still request a full refund within 14 days — more than enough to evaluate quality.
To request the refund, email support@multipub.pro with your account email and "Refund request" in the subject. We acknowledge within 1 business day. If your usage is within the 20% threshold, the full refund is processed within 5 business days; the actual time to appear on your statement depends on your bank (usually 3–10 days).
If you have exceeded 20% credit usage but request a refund within 14 days, we offer a partial prorated refund equal to the unused portion of your credit allowance. Example on Starter ($17/mo, 60 credits): if you've used 30 credits (50%), the partial refund is $17 × (1 − 0.50) = $8.50.
The 14-day window applies once per customer. If you cancel and re-subscribe later, the window does not reset.
2. Annual plan refunds
Annual subscriptions paid upfront are eligible for a prorated refund any time during the year:
- We refund the price of unused full months remaining in the annual term.
- A 20% restocking fee is deducted from the refunded amount to cover the discount you received vs. monthly pricing and the transaction fees we've already paid to Paddle.
- Months in which you actively used the Service (generated articles in that calendar month) are not refundable.
Example: you paid $1,428 for an annual Pro subscription ($119 × 12), used the Service for 4 months, then cancel. Refund = (12 − 4) × $119 × 0.80 = $761.60.
3. Monthly plan refunds (after 14 days)
After the 14-day window, monthly subscriptions are not refundable for the current billing period. You can cancel anytime to prevent the next renewal — your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Cancel at any time from Settings → Billing or by emailing us.
4. Consumed credits
Credits that have already been used to generate articles are not refundable on their own — the cost of AI generation has already been paid to the underlying provider (DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Runware). Whether your subscription itself is refundable within the 14-day window depends on your cumulative credit usage, as described in section 1.
Credits are only deducted when an article is successfully generated. If generation fails before any content is produced, no credits are charged in the first place — you can see this on the Billing → Usage breakdown page (failed jobs are tagged "0 · not charged"). If an article was generated but publishing to your WordPress failed, the credit was already spent on generation; you can still download the HTML/MD or retry the publish without paying again.
If you believe credits were charged unfairly (a clear bug, double-billing, or infrastructure outage on our side), email us with the affected article or batch IDs and we will investigate. Confirmed bug-related charges are credited back manually.
5. Bring-your-own (BYO) AI key costs
When you use a BYO key (your own OpenAI / Anthropic / DeepSeek / Runware account), the AI provider charges you directly for each request. We are not part of that billing relationship and cannot refund those costs. Refund requests for BYO usage must go to the AI vendor directly.
6. Upgrades & downgrades
- Upgrade (e.g. Standard → Pro): takes effect immediately, charged prorated for the remainder of the current period.
- Downgrade (e.g. Pro → Standard): takes effect at the end of the current period. The unused difference is not refunded but you keep the higher plan until renewal.
7. Failed renewals
If a renewal payment fails and we cannot collect within 14 days, the subscription is cancelled. You owe nothing for the failed period — the Service simply stops at the end of the last paid period.
8. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we resolve almost all issues quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in:
- Immediate account suspension.
- Loss of eligibility for future refunds or promotions.
- The chargeback fee charged by Paddle being added to any outstanding balance if you wish to reactivate.
9. Exceptions & special cases
We will issue refunds outside the rules above in these situations:
- Service outage longer than 24 consecutive hours due to our infrastructure (not AI vendor outages, which we route around): we credit a prorated amount for the affected days.
- Bug-related double billing or accidental over-charging: full refund of the over-charge.
- Fraud / unauthorized use of your account: we work with you and Paddle to refund the affected charges. Contact us immediately so we can lock the account.
10. How to request a refund
- Email support@multipub.pro from the email address registered on your account.
- Subject line: "Refund request — [your account email]".
- Tell us the reason briefly (one line is fine — feedback helps us improve, but is not required for the refund).
- We acknowledge within 1 business day and process within 5 business days.
11. Processing time
Once approved, refunds are processed by Paddle. They appear back on your original payment method:
- Credit / debit card: 3–10 business days.
- PayPal: 1–3 business days.
- Bank transfer / SEPA: 5–10 business days.
